April 30–May 3, 2015

Granoff Creative Arts Center, Studio 1.

Conceived, Written and Directed by Kym Moore in collaboration with Media Composer, Todd Winkle.

Time’s Up was presented by the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and the Department of Music’s MEME (Multimedia & Electronic Music Experiments) program in collaboration with the AntiGravity Theatre Project.

The piece was an exploration of love, history, reincarnation and the ties that bind. It combined visual media, sound, movement and text to demonstrate the ways in which history, physics and metaphysics inform the complex dimensions of “relationship” is the primary goal of this new performance work.  String Theory, Viewpoints performance theory, and historical accounts taken from the 14th Century Witch Burnings in Europe, The Civil Rights Movement in the U.S. and Contemporary urban culture served as the backdrop for the main characters who were engaged in a karmic journey towards wholeness that may impact the world at large should they succeed in their process of recovering what had never really been lost.

About AntiGravity Theatre Project creates new theatrical works that challenge contemporary making practices and interrogate boundaries of performance and community-building. Process and engagement, in addition to product, are at the core of AntiGravity’s art. Kym Moore and Michael Williams founded the collective with the inaugural production of Erik Ehn’s Yermedea RAW, on tour to La MaMa E.T.C. as part of Soulographie: Our Genocides in the fall of 2012. The company’s second work, Nellie/Nellie, premiered in Philadelphia FringeArts Festival in September of 2014. Up next, a new piece titled Time’s Up, premiering May 2015 in Providence, RI. AntiGravity splits its time between Providence, RI, Brooklyn and Philadelphia, in addition to anywhere they can find where artists are bustling.

AntiGravity is:

  • Kym Moore – Artistic Director
  • Michael T. Williams – Managing Director
  • Francesca Montanile – Education Director
  • Michael Costagliola – Resident Composer/Sound Design
