Leeds Theatre

A staged reading of key sections of the play with synopsis of the rest, presented by TAPS and MCM students and faculty in conjunction with The Roger B. Henkle Memorial Lecture, Fallible Recognition: The Politics of Kinship in the Bacchae by Judith Butler.

The staged reading was meant to familiarize people with the play in advance of Butler’s lecture but also to ask key questions about what it means to speak, or move, in unison or in dissent.
